Recently just purchased a brand new Samsung Q6FN 2018 UHDTV. Couldn’t be happier! I’m currently running Hitman 2 on an Xbox One X and I have been checking out the Legacy Content from Hitman 2016 that has been updated with many of the new features of Hitman 2.
I noticed on two levels specifically in the Legacy Content which are:
Final Test, Russian mission, Plane Hanger (Hanger Floor)
Sapenza, Italy, Golf Course at the mansion.
The following occurs at both of these when I’m running the game in High Quality Mode (Nativr 4K): Haloing Effect in concentric circles when rotating the camera around 47 and when no item is equipped, holding the Left Trigger in to examine the environment closer.
The same lighting/graphical issue can be seen when in High Framerate Mode (1440p), but is much less noticeable.
For comparison I loaded up Hitman 2016 and tested the Sapenza map, and I was not able to notice the issue (potentially because the lighting is much brighter on that map), and I will be testing the Final Test Hanger area to see what my results yield.
I guess my concern is two fold, one I might just be really picky and most would say that it’s nothing they are noticing. Second, this could actually be an issue that could be fixed in a patch down the line, much like the patch work we saw as Hitman 2016 evolved.
Can anyone else either on PC or Console confirm having the same issue? Like I said, doubtful it’s the TV or my console, considering if it was, both versions of the game Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2 should have the same results.
I realize this could be connected to FPS and LED response time but on a new 2018 TV, it’s hard to believe.
I would appreciate anyone’s knowledge or suggestions of what I could try if no one else has ever experienced the same thing. I simply find this very distracting because of how immersive Hitman is as a game.
I would be more than happy to also provide anyone interested in knowing more about my TVs settings and I have also used the TV in both Game Mode Witt Freesync On as well as in Dynamic Mode and adjusted settings in both modes that yielded the same results as listed above.
