Hi,

Forestl (archived Hitman sub-reddit, a year ago) published an extensive list of the ~135 employees at IO Interactive who worked on Hitman Blood Money (2006) and the Hitman 2016, a decade later. Forestl doesn’t publish a complete list. As Forestl notes:

This is not a full list of the people who worked on the [Hitman Blood Money] game. I’m leaving out the support and management at IO, the voice actors and mocap actors, some of the musicians and the different parts of Eidos around the world.” The published list on reddit also doesn’t include all the layoffs after Square Enix pulled out as publisher in 2017.

Notably ~5% (~seven employees, outside the exceptions above) of IO Interactive employees were identified to be both in the development of Hitman Blood Money in 2006 and for Hitman 2016.

I assume the numbers posted by Forestl are not atypical for a video gaming company, and illustrates how volatile the gaming industry is (and not necessarily a reflection of IO Interactive as a company to work for). It reinforces the point that iterations of a franchise like Hitman (which has a core of deeply committed fans and a consistent core gameplay over the past decade), was created by a mostly different work force – ten years ago.

Many former employees have used the experience in Hitman Blood Money development to go to different companies in the industry (some of which have moved onto different projects / companies) in the year that this analyses was made:

Unity: 9, Saxo Bank: 8, Hapti.co: 8, Ubisoft: 7, Lego: 6, Playdead: 6, Brain+: 3, Cape Copenhagen: 3, Crytek: 3, Havok: 3, IFAD TS: 3, MovieStarPlanet: 3, Press Play: 3, TiTon: 3, 3DQ: 2, Creative Assembly: 2, E-conomic: 2, Fantastic, yes: 2, The Game Equation: 2, Gameloft: 2, Ghost Ship Games: 2, Hangar 13: 2, KEA - 2, Kiloo: 2, Realtime Worlds: 2, Siemen: 2, Strange Loop: 2, Ultra Ultra: 2, Wil Films: 2, Wunderman: 2

The full listing of the data is published by Forestl under “Hitman: Blood Money - Where the developers are now” is below
